You ski. You drink wine. You don’t mind a little snow. Or maybe you’re looking for a Christmas present for someone who skis, drinks wine and doesn’t mind snow.
Then I know the perfect wine festival for you and your friends. The 16th annual Sun Peaks Winter Okanagan Wine Festival will take place Jan. 11 to 19, 2014 at Sun Peaks Resort near Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
Seven new events have been added to the nine-day festival, which features 30 BC wineries and a slew of great culinary treats, too.
Tickets for the British Columbia Wine Awards tasting as well as the Port, Chocolate & Cheese tasting are (sadly) already sold out but many others are still available.
Tickets cost $29.50 to $85, and accommodation packages are also available, starting at $149 per person per night.
More than 1,500 guests are expected to attend, and more than 100 different BC wines will be poured.
Participating wineries include Bella Wines, Blasted Church Vineyards, Forbidden Fruit Winery, Gehringer Brothers Estate Winery, Gray Monk Estate Winery, Harper’s Trail, Hester Creek Estate Winery, Hillside Estate Winery, Little Straw Vineyards, Misconduct Wine Co., Mission Hill Family Estate Winery, Moon Curser Vineyards, Mt.
